We initially had our property for sale through an estate agent in the same village as us but very quickly became dissatisfied with the poor customer service and lack of communication and that’s when Steph Macnab was recommended to us via a family member. We quickly cancelled our contract with the first estate agent and met with Simon at Steph Macnab who was fantastic, well-informed and honest with us about our house value which only further highlighted the terrible service we had received from the first estate agent. We mostly dealt with Debbie during the whole process but all the staff were brilliant and we never had an issue in being able to speak to someone- they even have an out of hours service which is amazing when you’re working full time and trying to fit selling your house around everything else!We have to say a huge, huge thank you to Debbie. Stephanie Macnab got us the home of our dreams – bungalows are hard to come by in Formby and we were fortunate to find the listing so quickly. The property photos and plans were excellent but there could have been a bit more descriptive content. I recently sold my mother’s house, where she had lived for over 60 years. Three estate agents all suggested a similar asking price for the house, and I decided to sell through Stephanie Macnab. Available data indicated that Stephanie had sold more houses than other local agents in 2022 and this was confirmed in my eyes by the number of her ‘sold’ boards in the road. However, what really convinced me to go with Stephanie was her personality. She was a bundle of energy and efficiency and clearly passionate about her job. She came across as sincere and knowledgeable and I felt sure that she would get me the best deal. Everything was handled smoothly and efficiently. Three days after putting the house on the market, 14 potential buyers viewed the house and I received offers from 7 of the 14. The offer I accepted was 11% above the asking price. Most Estate Agents, look after their vendors (quite rightly so) and often don’t take the needs of the buyer into consideration. This has not been my experience with the team at the Formby office at Stephanie Macnab. I’ve dealt with many estate agents over the years and can honestly say Stephanie Macnab Estate Agents are one of the best around. My experience with them is as a residential home buyer and prospective buy-to-let buyer. They are very good at what they do and the whole team all work together fantastically. It is easy to get in touch with them and if you need to speak to a particular member of staff and they are not available at that moment, they always call you back. The online property adverts are expertly put together. I can always tell that I’m looking at a Stephanie Macnab advert by the top-quality writing and professional photography. It’s very easy to book an appointment and when an agent shows you around a property, they know their stuff and can answer questions (whereas some other competitors haven’t got a clue). The best part of Stephanie Macnab is they are fantastic at keeping buyers and prospective buyers regularly updated. When we bought our new home through them in December 2021, it was a long drawn-out 8-month saga that had many delays due to problems further down the chain, but Stephanie Macnab did brilliantly to push everyone that they could (almost daily near to the end) and update me promptly. Without their help and persistence, the deal could have fallen through so my wife and I will be forever grateful to them because without their best efforts, we would not be living in our dream home right now.
